Many traditions in Irsina are tied to religious events and the agricultural history of the town. In the past, festivals were created as a break from working in the countryside. Today, they are occasions of entertainment and socialising for both the locals and emigrants returning to their hometown for the holiday. Some of oldest traditions include the festival of Saint Eufemia (Sant'Eufemia), the 'pizzicantò' (local game) and the festival Saint Roch (Sant'Rocco).
