The most noteworthy buildings are adorned with typical rustication, coats of arms and epigraphs and were constructed between the 16th and 18th century, when the political position and following enrichment of the town allowed such activity.
The most impressive of these buildings are that of; D'Amato Cantorio and Janora, both found on via Roma, the road that connects the main squares of the old town; Saint Francis square (piazza San Francesco) and Castle square (piazza Castello). As well as the homes of the family Arsia, on via Sant'Angelo, the family Rizzi and the building of the Bishop.
